We've had years of the govt sitting on its hands while the condition of the River Wye declines, despite valiant local efforts to #SaveTheWye. This is a national disgrace. What will it take, @theresecoffey, for you as Minister to finally take real action to stop the pollution?

Just seen this. Muck-spreading going directly into the river; clods of phosphate pollution literally flying into the water. A clear breach of The Farming Rules for Water which say 'manures must not be applied within 10 metres of any inland freshwaters'

Really good to meet @Minette_Batters yesterday with @HfdsCouncil colleagues. Phosphates was indeed a key topic; there is still lots to do to #SaveTheWye. Working constructively with farmers to tackle river pollution is vital.
