We made #savoury #Vietnamese #crepes for family #lunch today. Stuffed with smooshed chickpeas, prawns, some salt pork, bean sprouts & green onions. We eat them w/homegrown mint, lettuce & cucumbers with homemade #NuocCham sauce poured atop.

A wrap up for my #savoury #oatmeal experiment. Here it is.
So it's shiitake-mushroom-and-pork oatmeal topped with crispy onions and mushrooms. Served it with oven glazed carrots and sautéed kale and tomato. A drizzle of truffle oil to enhance the earthy notes.
Enjoyed with a dram of single malt, a brilliant idea from K, which suited it very well.

Made a mushroom gravy, but added a small amount of cold strong coffee. It’s good!!

五香牛腩麵 Mm hoeng ngau naam min, Five Spice Beef Brisket Noodles. One of my favourite dishes to get at HK/Canto spots. That combination of the slightly chewy egg noodles and the soft tender beef brisket chunks slathered in the thick fragrant savoury gravy really hits the spot! 😋❤️
