A sawyer beetle eating its way through a dead plum wood stump

In reverse order
Day 2 and day 1

Its antennae span is like a LP record and its patience is second to none.

I noticed it the day after the tree was cut down. It was there for at least 48 hours chomping away at the wood. Wow!
