Elementary.
Just stop producing plastic, especially #singleuseplastic.
We shouldn't be pushed towards compostable plastic or biodegradable plastic, or #Greenwashing.
We don't want to hear "plastic is what the customers like".
I realise it's not as simple or straightforward as that, but all producers, worldwide, at least make a start today. Not tomorrow, not next month, not next year, or from 2030, but today.

It’s laughable that my local grocery store touts that they’re doing everything they can to be “green”, yet they individually shrink-wrap organic produce in chemicals for absolutely no reason. Extra toxins in my food - yumm. Added PFAS for good measure.. plus the food spoils faster.
The majority of packaging is plastic. You can’t buy spinach unless it’s in a big stupid plastic tub. You used to be able to pick potatoes, and most produce, from a bin without packaging. You can’t tell me that these big chains can’t demand better.
Can you tell I hate plastic?

On Monday we stopped selling bottles of water at FHS and have already seen a noticeable difference in the volume of waste being produced, which is great news! Please make sure students bring a refillable bottle every day and fill up at our water stations #saynotoplastic
