Woodside is out there expanding gas extraction at a time when we need to start winding down the industry. The under construction Scarborough Gas project will release 1.6 billion tons of CO2-e over its thirty year life time. But they want even more, with plans to pump gas from their Browse Basin (off-shore in the Kimberly) to their Karratha gas plant until 2070.

The W.A State government has $300 million ready and waiting to help the Pedaman Urea Project. A project that endangers culturally significant rock art and is the local buyer of gas from the massively environmentally damaging Scarborough Gas project.

They are going all in on hydrogen but not actually using it for its only real purpose, fertilizer production.
