This was my view at the #SB19 show in #Manila. The actual main stage is at the back where they did most of their dancing. They stood at the stage that juts out at front to sing their ballads. Araneta Coliseum capacity is at least 10,000 and they sold out tickets on both Manila dates.

These international shows have an audience capacity of less than 2000 and they're not sold out. That's like the first level of Araneta!

M/V has extremely aesthetic visuals. The ocean and sky all bleeding into each other, flowers shriveling, and close up shots of the guys 😄 I'm not thirsty for them but I'm sure it made others lose their minds.

"Gento" is a play on the Tagalog words for gold (ginto) and like this (ganito). TBH I wasn't a super big fan of the song at first and I thought that the M/V was a little goofy but it grew on me. The scene where everyone loses their eyebrows strikes me as extremely Filipino lmao. #Sb19 #ppop #ph

For the folks not aware of #SB19, they're the Philippines' biggest boy band. I'd say they have a level of versatility that's close to BTS since they have a great rap line AND great vocals. Their live vocal performances on the Wish Bus are insanely good.

They started the #ppop movement, which is Filipino pop that is partly informed by #kpop with the emphasis on high budget M/Vs, choreography, photocards, etc.

Great show and the guys are wonderful performers as usual, but imho there were sound issues, like they were fiddling with their in-ears a lot. Sound was fuzzy and it took me a full 30 minutes to realize that there was a live band performing on the sides.

Three of the mics also sounded off, and Josh sounded especially squeaky. Judging from the fancams of the 2nd day, seems like they fixed all those issues which is great. Hopefuly their sound tech will be more consistent moving forward. #SB19
