Another look at the Maltese Falcon prop replica.
The hardest part of this sculpt was the large smooth surfaces.
The most enjoyable part was the diamonds section on the falcon's chest.

One final photo of this tiny hut.
I found it interesting, while re-painting this, that the moulded texture on the wood is raised and not recessed.
Doesn't hurt how it works with a dry-brush application of paint.
Just one of those things that happens at small scale (1:160 in this case).

Started putting this together and simply could not stop. Going to leave the castle model in the box for now 😝
They did a good job coloring the different sprues, but I think some paint and basing elements will go a long way. That's a project for another day though, since I've got a few projects that I'd like to be done before Halloween and Christmas. Exciting prospect though!

While the dome took a lot of painting work to get the reflection believable...
Inside the dome took a lot of modelling work. Crafting plastic, bending wire and even using a drill as a tiny lathe.

Found these fun ceramic Christmas houses at goodwill, and they will be becoming a Halloween village 🎃. Willing myself to get this and the hitchhiking ghosts done before it's time to decorate!
I just need to figure out what I can use to strip the snow effect off the front one. Any ideas?

Straight on views of each face of the Mech' workshop.
The ladder around the back allow access to the roof. The platform partway up was added to aid gameplay if the miniature's movement wouldn't reach the roof.

Scratchbuilding a scale model of real things makes you appreciate how sturdy model kits are.
Making a 0.5mm slot in an oval of plastic 1mm wide is a challenge.
