Japanese observation ship "So-ya", which explored the Antarctica several times mainly in 1950s. The plastic kit of Hasegawa (1/350 scale) is highly detailed, but is difficult to assemble.

Some recent model tinkering, a couple more of the little Bandai Star Wars Vehicle series in the form of the Star Destroyer in 1/14500(!) scale, and the AT-M6 in around 1/550. I've been having so much fun with these as a way of not worrying about detail and seam work and just practicing finishing.

Both primered in black here, and with random panels highlighted to give heightened shadows and variation when the topcoat goes on

Seen elsewhere. I figured this particular one out a while ago because both of them are favourites of mine, but figuring out what was kitbashed from what for the original Star Wars studio models is one of my favourite things to indulge in.
The A-Wing also has prominent F-16 parts among other things from other things.

I finished a thing!

Bandai 1/1000 scale Rebel Blockade Runner, aka the Tantive IV, the very first ship seen on screen in Star Wars history

Snap together kit, no glue used, tiny bit of filler on one or two seams, hand painted with a mixture of sprays, acrylics, washes and pastels. Depending on how big your screen is this might appear larger than life.

The stone conveyor #structure I've been building for a while is almost completed. Just have the walkway fencing to finish, then it can be permanently installed on my HO scale '2 in 1' model railway layout. These photos are of the structure in place on the layout, but not yet permanently fixed to it.
