I shelved my futurist skills about 8 years ago. My outlook was too dark, and the whole craft felt a bit tilting towards hubris. But as people get poisoned with suspicion, societies get injected with conspiratorial stress and democracy, for some, is no longer the lesser evil. I think people need (future) perspective. I will start offering mine. Again.

I am a #sustainability scientist at the Stockholm Resilience Centre at Stockholm University. I focus on trying to imagine, articulate, and catalyse action towards more just, prosperous, and sustainable #futures.

I have worked a fair bit on #resilience, #regimeShifts, #ecosystemServices, and #scenarioPlanning, and have begun to work on #finance.

I am also a member of the IPBES task force on models and scenarios, co-chair of the Resilience Alliance (resalliance.org).
