Paris up now talking about geofencing for their scooters too. Wanted to force scooters to be parked in certain zones. 6 scooters max go a zone. It’s imperfect. Started in 2020. I used shared e-scooters in 2019, and scooters were being liberally tossed into the Seine it was a bummer.

Speaker notes there is almost an “Obsession with this indicator” 86% come from other sustainable modes. Like walking bussing. Not cars. But in Barcelona it’s dense and ppl don’t drive as much. Don’t obsess over shifting from cars. There are other benefits.

These coalition members want consistent rules across Europe for micromobility users. Speed limits, helmets, no twin-riding (I think that’s what she said?), easy to follow rules, enforcement of rules.
