A useful topic for a paper! Worth reading if only to recognise that, even after all this time and understanding, we still fight the same old, same old...

"....efforts include adopting standards that maximize metadata , deploying metadata that are widely used, but also versatile and extensible to address the changing needs of the user community."

Is anyone aware of (or involved with!) a project that collects and publishes from providers on the Registry that runs, in a machine-consumable / format?

Could anyone give me keywords to search for (or pointers to places/folks talking about) different license options for *schemas*?
It seems subtly different enough from both software and documentation licensing that I suspect there’s important nuance I’ll miss if I focus on those areas … !

Li summarizes: "the first face of power is measured through the winner of the game, and the second face of power can be understood as the referee. The third face of power is the field, the rulebook, and agreement that there is even a game at all."

It's the creation of this third face that Li's paper dissects - the creation of "Type I" ideas that form the unquestioned assumptions for all other debate. Sociologist call these ideas "."

Do you know any (XML) Schemas that describe books? Like DocBook but also for non technical books?

A 2nd CUE video in as many days? What an unCUEsual occurrence!

This short episode of Stock CUEbs I've uploaded today looks at the very foundation of Cuelang: telling the truth. Repeatedly.

And what happens when we /don't/ do that ...

I present to you now: "CUE Truths, And a Lie": youtube.com/watch?v=Su9h8hpZ0A

I'm putting out some short and uncomplicated videos on my favourite thing at the moment: CUE!

is a smart that /looks/ a bit shaped, but is actually going to save us all from the dreary, -eqsue future that /feels/ so inevitable!

Here's a really short video I've just published about a fantastic CUE feature that lets us combine and concrete values, separately but hierarchically, organising instances in parallel: youtube.com/watch?v=OaPLbvHpVl

@lafnlab thanks! I'm really surprised there are so many varied implementations across so many languages, without more tools to test one's server for spec compliance?

It really reminds me of the situation in , where we're expected to conform to some schemas that build /atop/ .org, except, there's no validator for the custom schemas? (*not entirely true, there is one, it just crashes on my site)

Either way, thanks for the positive comment, I'm going to keep going with it!
