#ÖBB 🇦🇹 museum loco 1080.01, built in the 1920s, is seen here at #Liezen station in September 2006. The cars in the consist are of the “Schlieren” type and this is an excursion special to #Eisenerz where passengers will board class 5081.500 #Schienenbus railcars.

#ÖBB 🇦🇹 railway nostalgia: a class 8081 (originally class 5081) railcar at #Wien-Ost yard in April 2005. This #Uerdinger #Schienenbus was built in Germany almost 60 years ago. (Train nerds will recognise the “Uerdinger-Diamond” on the front below the cab windows.)
