My office this morning. The #Fairhaven #Massachusetts Visitors Center is located in a 1798 Federal-style building built as a private academy. Being a one-man Town department, I had to shovel my way in this morning.

When he's done, he stands and turns his paper in to @mlp_Plotline's desk before heading back to his desk to sit. He pulls out a volume entitled "Theories of Magic and Atmospheric Interaction: A Primer" by Lucent Brightmane along with a dictionary and starts trying to read it. It's obvious after about five minutes that he's struggling.

The further text details some of this, particularly the party and the games, but not so much anything else, though apparently there is a special gemberry plant where ponies can harvest money instead of needing to make coins, along with some special food trees for getting milk and certain types of candy.

"All the wildlife can talk to everyone, and all the creatures live in a balance with the ponies. Everything is talked through and negotiated and everyone finds help for problems together."

"Also, something else special? There are no alicorns or princesses. Instead, anypony can become an alicorn when the need is strong enough, and then they just go back to being a pony. It's part of the magic of the community and of the friendship they have."

"And when they visited, some of them would stay here to visit for half a year, and some of us would go stay on the moon for half a year as a show of friendship. And there would be special cheese cakes to commemorate it."

"The night sky would be amazing looking, and there would be a festival twice a year when special moon ponies visited the ground. They would have wings made of stars and flowing manes and be really tall because they live on the moon. And they would bring us gifts and we would send gifts in return."

"Every month there would be a big party with lots of cider, 'cause there would always be ripe apples, and lots of pie and cake, because there would always be berries and wheat. And all the neighbors would be invited, and so would all the other creatures who lived there."

He blushes at the encouragement, but appreciates it. He can't help but blush a bit still as he sits up a bit. He gives @mlp_SockHop and @MLP_Sweetie_Belle a smile before getting to work on the assignment that @mlp_Plotline has given them.

The colt blinks as he says the last thing in front of the class. He goes red. "Uhm, that was in a book ah saw one time."

He sits down, still redfaced.

Apple Scout blushes a little, maybe slightly embarrassed about doing the "wrong" thing. "Y-Yes, sir," he says as he stands next to his desk. Maybe a quirk of the strict Trottenite schools he attended.

"What color's the sky? Wha's the air smell like? Is there grass? What about what lives there? Are there ponies? Is there magic?" He pauses for a moment, pondering. "Whut's the propogation speed of magic given the lensing effect described by Firefly's Law?"

The colt rubs his head with a hoof, then puts his hoof up in the air to answer. He's not sure it's right, but he'll try anyway.

Is only half-listening to what's going on. The noise is actually a little distracting, slightly overstimulating as well, but he's managing.

He blinks, a little cross-eyed as students and seemingly random ponies, from @mlp_Twilight herself all the way to @mlp_TraxtonHale, start booing @mlp_Plotline.

"What's all the booin' for, y'all," he asks to nocreature in particular. He's just thinking out loud.

Apple Scout trots into the schoolhouse. "Mornin' Mister @mlp_Plotline!" He leaves an apple on his desk before taking a seat.
