I should feel totally depressed with the idea of going back to work tomorrow but then again I have a nice 16km #BikeTooter #commute waiting for me and my back has been screaming for more cycling after a week of lying on crappy mattresses and sun loungers.

Schools are back in session, which can only mean one thing… traffic jams. I live in the tiny city of #Bath (just 4 miles across). It has a good bus service, yet it seems like every single parent would rather drive their spoiled child to school rather than make them walk a mile. This extra traffic adds 20mins onto my already 1:45h commute to Bristol (one way). 😡

Lovely school run in the rain this morning. That's right, lovely. If it weren't for my shoes/socks getting wet, I'd have stayed out longer. Feet are the only waterproofing I've yet to sort out but never get around to.

Today we achieved the impossible - cycling the school run in the snow! We saw others doing this impossible feat as well. Yet, apparantly no-one will cycle in the snow!

Today's example of #SchoolRun #Motornormativity - a driver seemingly on autopilot:

Driver parked in space puts car into reverse but with no sign of moving as we pedestrians approach to pass behind. Assuming driver is waiting, we continue (but alert). As we start to pass, driver starts reversing. I call out, say "wait your turn". He says, "not a designated path; wind your neck in".

Driver seems unaware of the Highway Code hierarchy, and assumes his "right" trumps everyone else.
