Brief review of Ben Goldacre's "Bad Science."

Good book, offering a nice perspective on the positive sides of the Evicence-Based Medicine movement from the late 2000s.

Unfortunately, it misses some of the critiques that would challenge EMB--and subsequently, Open Science or the Replication Crisis movements in social science.

Definitely fun and well-written, though!

@teixi @neuroscience @sTeamTraen I don't object to the BFI-2 being used in neuroscience, or psychology more generally. There's a good body of validation research on it. But a good BFI-2 study typically has several hundred--possibly 1000--participants.

I'm trying to get into neuroscience now, but it's hard to cut through the brain picture hype to know what you should believe.
