@threeofus Good question!

I think if (especially ) was more widespread, and people understood human , ‘hatred of the other’ would be greatly reduced.

Also, as the Dalai Lama said: “All hatred begins as self-hate.”

In the near term, remind everyone that
HAT + RED = HATRED

the of ignorance and hate.

As I sip my morning ☕ ☕ and get ready for the grade-a-palooza that today needs to be; I'm obsessed with the following request I want to make of journalists:

Please stop using "Scientists" as a generic subject in your reporting. They are "Astronomers" or "Chemists" or "Biologists", etc [ incl. "Linguists" ]...and it matters which b/c their methods and expertise vary.

Thank you.

@lougrims Actually there are several depending on your areas of interest. More generic, more specific, more artistic, smaller ones, big ones, just have to browse a little (and available time). Hashtags are key as so many other have said.
Generic: . Artistic:
Instances: @scicomm.xyz @socialserver.science @vis.social @fediscience.org to name only a few

Happy scrolling!

Can we animate scicomm? Will people still trust that information?

As scientists we often debate wether keeping or abandoning "traditional" ways of doing scicomm.

Seldom we remember that sometimes the most efficient ways are the most empathetic ones.

Like humor. And light-heartedness.

More on this here: myscivoice.com/blog/animated-c

Also (finally) got around to update website contents. Almost done👌🏽
