Scientists checking conditions near the erupting Fissure 3 on #MaunaLoa this morning (near cone, lower left).

I've returned again and again to the livestream of the eruption over the last few days, watching the lava and the cinder cone building on the sides of the fissure. This photograph, taken from a similar place, gives a sense of scale.
