I was at a dinner with friends last night, I looked out of the window and a reflection in a window across the street caught my eye. First thing I thought of was a tripod from The War of the Worlds was peaking over the roof and was about to crush me. Needless to say, I don’t get out much.

#SciFiFlicks Watched "Space Sweepers," Korean Sci Fi film and liked the Korean culture emphasis and multi-lingualism. The poverty in the future -- people digging through garbage for a prized pair of beat-up shoes, and stealing a few grains of rice while being taxed to death -- was well done. There was a bleak desperation to the story. Despite some humor, people were still caught in a bleak video game. Good visuals on tight budget. has a "Dark Star" feel to it with some of the lo-fi gear.
