@lonepair Seems fine 😅 Did you see this "Neutral Networks are Decision Trees" manuscript? https://arxiv.org/abs/2210.05189 The trick is to assume the activation functions are piecewise linear functions. Still, it shows a way you could improve the decision-tree LJ by switching linear functions rather than constants! #SciML
Would be interesting to compare the result quality with an equal-sized NN using smooth activation functions. RMS error may not improve but derivatives might...
