On this day, November 20th, in 1973: At San Francisco’s Cow Palace, Keith Moon passed out mid-concert after taking seven horse tranquilizers. 19-year old Scot Halpin was brought up on stage from the crowd and played the last three songs of the Who’s set, filling in for Moon.
