Edinburgh University offer a writing prize called The Sloan Prize for a prose or verse composition in Lowland Scots vernacular

This prize has been issued annually since at least 1930 (it's mentioned on Robert Garioch's page at the Scottish Poetry Library.
However records of past winners of this prize aren't easy to find.
