@humzayousaf Share this far and wide. A Labour member of the House of Lords says that Scotland is not an equal part of the union. By inference, I assume that neither is Wales nor Northern Ireland.
This shows why we should never vote Labour in Scotland and why independence is the only way forward for Scottish democracy.

The people of Scotland reject the politics of the right.
We have to go back to 1955 when the combined vote of National Liberal and Conservative Party and the Unionist Party got 2 more seats than Labour.
The previous time the Unionists won in Scotland was in 1924.
So depending on which date you prefer, 68 or 99 years since Scotland last voted for the right.
Can anyone explain why we have to put up with endless right wing Westminster Governments and policies we reject?

Oslo rule is an interesting third way if we unhappy with London rule yet London refuses to allow us choice on full independence.
As an aside why is it considered normal or in any way acceptable that the people of Scotland told what we can and cannot do by people we never vote for? It a very strange democracy. In fact it is no democracy.

There are people in Scotland who want our country to be governed from London. No matter that in England policies are enacted which are rejected by the people of Scotland.
I'd like to ask why?
What would public reaction be if politicians in Portugal asked for their country to be governed from Madrid or if there was a call for Canada to governed from the USA. These ideas seem no more outlandish than London rule for Scotland.

If the United Kingdom is so good then why do other countries not want to join? Why isn't there a queue of independent states waiting for London to appoint Governors and to run their affairs for them? No country which has left UK control has ever asked to come back.

I live in Scotland.
Here every single UK National Newspaper, all the local papers, all bar one of the Scottish papers and all of the output from TV and Radio in Scotland is relentlessly anti-Scotland telling all comers that Scotland is better not having our own voice and that we better off being governed by people in London we don't vote for.

In Scotland what you might call supper or dinner we call tea. It isn't a big or important thing maybe but what it does is hint that Scotland has its own rich culture and history. The people of Scotland shouldn't have to follow whatever England does but never votes for. We aren't North England.
Once we accept that it is ok to be different then does the desire to set our own path on the world stage make just a tiny bit more sense?
