The Gender Recognition Reform (Scotland) Bill is nearing the end of stage 3, with the final group of the vast number of (mostly transphobic) amendments being voted on by Parliament as the time passes midnight!

This has been a painful session to watch, but will hopefully close a dark chapter in Scottish political life, in which transphobia has been allowed to fester during years of misinformation and delaying tactics

Watching the debate in the Scottish Parliament, struck by the fact that transphobes have managed to suck up decades of other people's time and energy on delaying a law that is already statute in a dozen or so other countries, and has been for a years, without issue. It should be legal to sue them for financial loss incurred by having to deal with their nonsense. #ScottishParliament

Final debate for the #GenderRecognition reform bill in the #ScottishParliament, and this is pretty scary to see happening in this country: anti-trans groups following the US far right #MomsForLiberty playbook to the letter, copying how they flood into public meetings (e.g. school boards) to try to disrupt them and/or alter decisions, and MSPs of our governing party appear to be assisting them.
