Glasgow photowalk day 4, there are so many alleys like this strewn with rubbish. While I'm not over the moon with the indictment on our Public services I do like the variety and volume of interesting waste to photograph.

Sharing another slice of life in Glasgow today, I often walk past this laundrette as it is getting dark and I love the contrast between the (often cold) dark street outside and the neon buzz of activity and chatter between the patrons waiting for their laundry.

Glasgow photowalk day three. The Netherton area of the city, a few minutes walk from here there is a really nice peaceful canal. The contrast between rundown urban and nature in sucv close proximity is amazing.

Politics can be rough...
This is our local MSP Kate Forbes being a trooper in some truly awful weather. I was official photographer for the Outdoor Access Trust for Scotland at the grand opening of new much needed paths at the Quirang. Not only did she have to put up with the pouring rain and howling wind but also me ordering her around for photos - All this not long before going on maternity leave...

A curious squirrel on a train track.

Edinburgh is full of hidden gems such as this old train line, which is now only 30m long (including a bridge over Water of )

It's been taken over by nature and offers a safe haven for squirrels, foxes and local birds.

I consider myself lucky living in a capital with so many magical green spaces.
