I wrote a blog post about the connections between the South Carolina legislature and the state circuit court system. I'm not a writer but I was able to dig up some history and connect judges to election candidates via campaign contributions that I scraped from the state's ethic commission. I also FINALLY got to use a Sankey diagram. This one depicts the flow of political campaign contributions from judges and their families to political campaigns in SC.
