I'm supportive of this proposal by @huitema to put some friction in the way of social graph #spiders and other scrapers:

I'm pretty sure that #Mastodon is already being #scraped by the intelligence agencies or the shadowy companies that support them, or by companies using it for training data for face recognition or other #privacy-invasive data gathering.
Let's make it more difficult for the scrapers!

Name, handle, etc. This is not private data. There could be some downside to making it more easily accessible but also some upsides. I expect you could get the exact same data just using the ActivityPub api.
