After finishing up the appliqué project, I pulled an older WIP out. I laid it out to determine how big a rug I want to make/see how many squares I still needed. I left the room to start dinner and Uno has claimed the completed portion for himself. #caturday #scrapfabric #longtermproject

A piece of #scrapfabric art made from t-shirt hems I’d been saving for several years. I made this in February and realized a few months later that it was so heavy, the middle bowed foward, causing it pop out at the top. Today, I took it out of the frame and added a narrow cardboard border to the back of the mat. It seems to be more secure, so I’ll hang it back in the shop and see how it does. #fabricart #repurposed #reducingwaste

On Wednesday, I ran into a client at one of our local thrift shops. Told her I was mostly there looking for embroidery hoops for a #scrapfabric project I’ve been brainstorming. She just called to tell me that another thrift shop, where she volunteers, got several donated yesterday & that she bought them all for me. Sweet! 😊
