Scrappy loves the sunshine and fortunately his new human grandpa has an enclosed back porch for enjoying the sun without worrying about the other elements (though I'm a big meanie stikk making him wear a sweater since it is still cold)

Scrappy did such a good job at the groomers. She told us he sat quietly when she brushed his teeth and he reveled in being washed, the only issue was that I came in too early and he got a little too excited before she could finish his last foot, so we'll have to fix that at home. So we got him an early Christmas present.

Sometimes Scrappy doesn't want to go for a walk, he just wants to sit on the porch.

However, his relaxing was interrupted by a car that parked on the neighborhood's Designated Doggy Doodoo Area (Yes, there's a sign) AND he growled at a car that went the wrong way down our one-way street. There will be no rule breaking on his watch!

When we got Scrappy, we also picked up several dog beds.

On his own, Scrappy moved two of them under our coffee table and made his own little hidey hole.

Sometimes he just jumps off the sweet spot on the couch and goes under there for a bit for some private time.

He's down there right now, relaxing.

The first photo was posted on Petfinder, when they got him from the vet where his previous owners left him, the second photo is from a recent walk, tracking the squirrel that lives in the tree across from us.

Since we took him home nearly 3 months ago, I've seen his tail down.

This Thanksgiving, I'm grateful the rescue let us give Scrappy a new home.
