@boe the oldest patchwork designs were meant to use up real scraps, so there's probably something you'll like!
Do you have longish wide-and-narrow pieces, like from around the edges of clothing pieces? Those are called "strings" (?!?). You can make blocks of irregular strings, trim each block to be a standard size, and assemble the blocks. Possible example:

Blocks store well until you have enough for a gift bag, pillow, lap quilt, bed quilt...
If you have little squarish pieces, here's a clever idea for making them into neat strips to use later:
