Picked up scratchboard again for the first time in years and it's as fun as I remember! This is my first attempt, sort of feeling things out again, and I'm pretty happy with how it came out! Though I still may fiddle with it a bit more.

A drawing I never seem to post is the one I use as an avatar, the first scratchboard art I ever did, back in 2017.

I bought one of those kits with a picture on it, just for fun (a pirate ship being menaced by a giant squid, which glowed in the dark!) and it came with an extra blank bit. Don't think I did anything good on that (I don't have it anymore) but it made me look for a pack of blank sheets and I've never looked back!

Just stumbled across this old portrait I did years ago, of a high school friend whose name I don't remember anymore. I loved doing scratchboard so much but I stopped after high school because buying the supplies myself was expensive. Maybe my new year's resolution will be to finally pick up some scratchboard materials of my own and get back into it.
