Is anyone doing #screencasting with #obs on a MacBook Pro in #clamshellmode with M1 or M2 chips?

I'd imagine my current MacBook Pro would be just fine, but it seems sluggish and the fans kick on full speed almost any time I'm doing anything with video. Never had that issue with my iMac Pro. So, I'm curious if it is laptop vs desktop or if it strictly comes down to the performance difference between the two.
