The Elves have a secret contract to provide, free, life-long care and feeding of #CookieMonster. They're re-paying a debt to the late Jim Henson for mentioning Keebler cookies several times at a middle-school "Muppets Show" in Van Nuys in '77. Those kids' grand-kids are now bugging their Mom's to buy Keebler chocolate chip cookies.
