Google Meet screen sharing is made by Aliens for Predators.

When somebody shares their entire screen or even a large window I would really appreciate the possibility to actually see what they share with 1:1 scale.

At work I've using pop.com for remote pairing: it has much better video quality and latency than Meet or Slack huddles. It's been a while, though since I've considered alternatives: are there better/newer tools out there that prioritize fidelity/latency, offer remote control and drawing, _and_ support Linux?

I was just on a work call where we were #screensharing #YouTube videos, and I realized my YouTube recommended videos sidebar were visible to my team. Thankfully there's nothing too incriminating in there, but I think it's distracting at best, embarrassing or incriminating at worst for people to see what you like to watch on YT.

That's why I searched for this #ChromeExtension that disables your recommendations sidebar.

I really find it extraordinary that, after all these years, there are still so many #macOS applications that are still unable to resume properly, by reopening ALL their windows, all in the right POSITION, on the right DISPLAY (in a multi-display setup), and with ALL their tabs properly reopened as well.

Looking at you:
- #Finder
- #Preview
- #ScreenSharing
etc.

And then there are some apps, like #Numbers and #TextEdit, that do resume properly… unless you had to do a hard reboot.

What a mess.

Firefox will crash until this bug is squished:

However, in #chromium (and presumably #chrome too if you like giving data to google), you can set this flag:
chrome://flags/#enable-webrtc-pipewire-capture

And then it works! Without that flag, Chromium works but only allows sharing a limited choice of windows.
