This morning, I finished Module 9 of #Scrimba #frontEndDeveloper career path (UI design) and went backwards to complete a new section that was added in module 3. Then I move on to the Biggie: #React!

Today has been very Q. I have been catching up on my #frontEnd notes. I'd like to start writing in #Emacs, but there's a bug I don't understand and don't want to start till I can get that sorted. Still, just adding them to #Obsidian till I can move over. 5 notes created so far ranging from "Async Await", "Locale Storage" and using the date function.
I'm nearly done with my #Scrimba module 9 and move on to #React next, which will be fun!

Started Mod 10 of my Scrimba Front End Developer Career Path, all on UI Design. Some interesting concepts, and really pleased they're teaching (at least) some accessibility.

Problem is, I'm struggling to keep my eyes open. God, I hate this part of getting old!

Trying to do some #scrimba study to hide from the blistering French weather (currently 36.8°c in the shade) and trying to get some response from the Open Weather API, but keep running into a Coors error. Not sure why. Also can't get the location API to work very well. Still, study is study.

Obviously I didn't load my coding brain properly today. Took me about 45 minutes to set a background image in JS from an API. When I finally got it working, I couldn't for the life of me see what I was struggling with.

Morning all, early start for me trying to get the code on my latest project working. I've now got the add and remove from watchlist buttons working and saving their values to local storage, now I just need to display the watchlist from IDs stored in local storage.

This morning, I listened to this ep of the #Scrimba Podcast ft Katrina Tucker. Here are my takeaways:

- The language you use affects how you think about your journey: “breaking into tech” vs. “entering / transitioning into tech”
- Be intentional. The intention you put in affects how it’ll be received.
- Business is about solving problems. How can your skills (tech and non-tech) help contribute to the solution?

I'm currently learning API's. I'm thinking about making a plugin for @obsidian to allow people to use #todotxt with it. I've seen from the forum that it's been tried several years ago, but wonder if this might work again? Would it be of any interest to users (no promises)?

I listened to yesterday’s #Scrimba podcast, and the most striking moment was then they discussed the saturation of entry-level frontend developers. (Link Below)

This was somewhat walked back - Scrimba primarily teaches frontend development. But I think a more open, honesty discussion about this is really, really needed.

I continued working on the movie watchlist project. Yesterday, I had some issues rendering the API data so I reached out to the #scrimba discord community for help & today (thanks to the help I received) I was able to refactor the code & solve the issue.

If you're not getting something and countless internet searches aren't working, ask for help. 🙂

Pretty chuffed that #TodayIDid finished my Module 7 project from the #Scrimba #frontEndDeveloper career path. It's not perfect, it needs a little refactoring. But it works!
