I love this arch decorated with images of the Green Man over the entrance to James Miller's 1896 Saint Enoch Underground Station building in central Glasgow.
It's now a coffee house and I wonder how many people going in to get their daily caffeine fix look up and see these wonderful little sculptures as they pass underneath.

A before and after picture since I have finally started showing stones I have carved since being on Mastodon. The pencil marks are where I hoped to carve but that sometimes changes on the finished stone. The finished stone has a light coat of polyurethane applied to contrast the carving. Much like wetting a stone to bring out it's colors. It's approx. 4.5" long, 3.5" wide and 2 inches high. (11.4 by 8.8 by 5 cm).

Another stone where it had a quartz (?) crown and I carved below. I try to keep the original shape intact and work with that. I should do before/after pics, something I'll try to do on the new stones I pick up. Some stones take me 2-3 days to carve and others only a few hours. I really don't have a design in mind when I begin, I just let the stone talk to me.
