This weekend I had fun building a functional Docker image for #ssb-go-room in the context of cloudron (even though current dockerfile in my github should work fine)
Now the #scuttlebut has a new Public pub to support the network.
The pub is hosted at Contabo, with Armada.digital https://ssb.armada.digital
Leaving invites open for now :)

While in one of the Dutch language channels on Matrix while discussing https://scuttlebutt.nz/, the product https://jami.net/ was also suggested.

From what I could tell #Scuttlebut is in its infancy and has an overlap with the fediverse in terms of functionality and intent, it is just not mature enough.

#Jami on the other hand looks like an out of the box solution on par with Google Meet or a beefed up Jitsi. You can host your own instance, but this behind a registration wall.

#scuttlebut vise la persistence offline alors que les gens se séparent. Ca me fait penser à retroshare avec ses bouteilles à la mer... Et la conso de stockage et données locales pour les distribuer en p2p desynchonrisé.

Je cherche un truc bien plus simple où un appareil "crie" en bluetooth et les autres à portée recoivent les messages.

Underlining the #indymedia front end is a #kiss #OMN network based on the #4opens the more privacy focused part of the network will be based on #scuttlebut with a bridge from open to closed working and thinking.
