Andre Staltz, developer of #Manyverse, is working on the scuttlebutt database for to support deletion.

"What this means to Manyverse is profound. It will allow us to transition from a world where SSB data is always increasing, to a world where storage is managed and pruned as needed. While I wasn't able to get #patchwork running on my new machine (and honestly I didn't try that hard), it looks like #oasis installed super easily, so now I can look around the #scuttleverse and finally use #SecureScuttlebutt / #ssb on my own.

@jaywink there are lots of different ways this can be worked on. and lots of conversations happening about how we might solve those issues. I dont see a reason why there should not be people working on these things now while the #fediverse and the #scuttleverse are still in such a malleable stage.

@feonixrift this is a big issue I have been talking about at all the p2p-web-berlin meetups and one I din't think anyone is actively engaged in so far. @bhaugen has made some posts about this issue in #Scuttlebutt / #Scuttleverse / #SSB land and there have been some talks over there about it but really not enough effort. I think both sides think the other a bit silly.

@resist_berlin@chaos.social are you familiar with the #solarpunk movement? mostly being talked about in #ssb / #scuttleverse but there have been some fascinating discussions over there about it.
