Taking shortcuts to dreams
not minding the heights or depths,
somewhere along the line
we lost all faith in love.

Iron and rust
lost dreams and dust.
Choices we have made,
the paths we did not take.

White sheets have gone grey
with regret and despair.
Crawling through the dark
towards the light that once was ours.

Destiny unwanted,
life unchosen,
rain washing the pain
of years wasted in vain.

If there was more honesty in the world our lives would have more tears but we would grow into healthier people, emotionally and psychologically.

For me the most important thing is honesty. I don't always like what I hear, but I would rather have that, then lies which grow nothing then false sense of self.
