Joined a new #boardgames group and played #scythe. Two games of Scythe on BGA left me lukewarm on the game, but this was my first time playing it physically and it was much more enjoyable. Really good game.

I like how it's not just military all the way. You certainly have military objectives, but you're only rewarded with victory points for winning twice. After that, you don't have much reason to be aggressive.

Last night we played #Scythe. We were five and the battle turned out to be epic. Our game lasted around three hours and a half, but it felt much shorter.

Had to figure how i would have the machine guns mounted if theirs no sidecar.

Taught Lindsey how to play #Scythe #Expeditions and she was a fan. We both tied with 61 points but she won the tie breaker. She said she preferred this over the original Scythe since there was no combat.

I stepped up to level 2 automa in #Scythe #Expeditions but lost by 9 points. I feel you really need to commit to a card type (quests, items, or meteorites) to grab the glory for having 4. If you try to collect a few, you seem to really get caught not collecting enough glory to compete.

Ended up winning by a pretty big margin but it has to be because I played with the easiest automa level. I felt like I was flailing around a bit at the beginning, trying to grasp how all the pieces fit together.

Since Anna could use a worker to "solve" a quest, I went heavy on quests and completed all 4. This definitely helped scoring at end as the quests are the score multiplier, much like Popularity in #Scythe
