Auf der weltgrößten Nashornfarm leben 2.000 Nashörner. Die Zukunft der Farm war ungewiss, sie sollte versteigert werden. Zum Schutz vor Wildernden hat nun die Organisation African Parks die Farm ersteigert: Mehr dazu hier:

In nur 50 Jahren gingen im Kafue-National-Park in Sambia dreiviertel des Wildkatzenbestands verloren. Verantwortlich war die Wilderei. Durch ein besonderes Programm stabilisiert sich nun die Zahl der Großkatzen wieder:

Das ist schon eine Weile her, dass uns der Säbelzahntiger Angst und Schrecken einjagte. In 2023 wird das SDG 15 meine besondere Aufmerksamkeit bekommen, denn das "Leben an Land" fordert besonderen Schutz ein und: Vom Leben an Land hängt sehr stark der Klimaschutz ab. Ohne Schutz der Wälder - den Lungen der Erde - wird es nicht gehen.
