The latest #SDSS - Sloan Digital Sky Survey - data release, DR18 is now live! This is the first data release for SDSS-V and contains targeting data for Black Hole Mapper and Milky Way Mapper, as well as eFEDS (eROSITA Final Equatorial Depth Survey) spectra and value added catalogs: https://www.sdss.org

A new instrument is joining the fleet at the #LasCampanas Observatory in Chile’s #Atacama Desert. It will map our neighboring #galaxies — including those only visible from the southern hemisphere — on a larger scale than ever before.
