#sdvx my encoder died AGAIN, but this time I attempted a repair rather than a replacement. I really did not feel like crimping wires or dealing with harnesses tonight. I managed to take apart the bottom of the encoder and identify the plastic piece that the shaft needs to be connected to. I re-lubricated the shaft, glued those pieces together, and it's working again!

#sdvx up to 18.1vf today. Altogether decent session but everything felt bad. Got my first 1 near on a 16. Hopefully I can PUC soon.

Not having the annoyingly exploitative character art is cool, but I can't wrap my head around pressing buttons to move the lasers. I'm playing on an Ergodox Infinity, which means that I can't crosshand AT ALL. I also have to map FX-L and FX-R to Backspace and Space, which breaks practice mode on unnamed_sdvx_clone *really badly*.
I'm not sure if I wanna spend the money on a Pico Voltex.

I kid, I kid. But now that I've gotten your attention: does anyone know how the hell to unlock avatars on that game that don't look like Chris Hansen is going to walk out from behind the arcade cabinet and ask me to have a seat over there?
I play at Round1 USA but if crew unlocks are Japan-only I can just put "get SDVX unlocks" on my Japan Trip Bucket List.
