#Police watchdog apologises to sister of black man who died in custody in 2008
#IOPC apologises ‘unreservedly’ to #MarciaRigg, whose brother #Sean died after being restrained in #Brixton
Deborah Coles, the director of the #DeathsInCustody charity #Inquest, “Fifteen years on and with no one properly held to account, this case provides a stark reminder of how the mechanisms for holding police to account are not fit for purpose.”

Today I had the privilege to (online) meet Marcia Rigg. A black UK woman who now fights for more than 14 years for justice for her brother Sean. Who died in 2008 in police custody, because of #racism and major failings by the #Brixton #police.
Please watch the interview with Marcia at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_OEyTLW1uEY and visit the website https://www.seanriggjusticeandchange.com.
And remember. As you can see this is not only an American issue, but also happens in the UK and other Western countries. Let's never forget those victims of #PoliceViolence and other forms of #PoliceBrutality!
