I'm going through one of those periods where I don't seem to have anything to say. I haven't been writing. I haven't been on social media. I'm not talking much.

There are two times of year where I'm predicably low. The big one is around the summer solstice, when I'm dead inside because it's always hot and never dark. But there's a weaker one when spring starts and every day seems worse than the one before it, the season leading me towards somewhere I don't want to be.

How is 2023 going for me 24 days in? I’ve endured my first legit severe mental breakdown. Still haven’t had Covid. Any #seasonaldepression folks just continue observing #DaylightSavings personally all #winter long? Weeks later I'm still waking up "early" and feeling tired every evening. Getting as much daylight as possible is key for managing my #depression.

Anyone else prone, like me, to an annual bout of depression around this time of the year? I feel the lack of blood family, and especially the loss of my daughter, now five years ago.
