Watched Derek Jarman's SEBASTIANE (1976); the spiritual, carnal submission of martyrdom, beautifully interpreted through the ecstatic language of queer eroticism and masochism. Unmissable.

One of my late uncle's beloved movies, but sometimes of late, I wonder if I'm misremembering, & quite casually think of emailing or messaging him to ask if, say, he really waxed eloquent about SEBASTIANE to me when alive or I'm imagining it, before realising I can't.
