It doesnt lead to more mutual understandingm it leads to submission, hate and segregation. It is also a very scewed interpretation of what #secularism means. Secularism would mean that the school doesnt spread religious views itself and is open tonall and gives all the same treatment and chances... This is clearly not the case. Schools should provide a safe environment for their students and workers and a place where they can be who they are (not having the right to be oppressors themselves either btw, which is obvious).

The abaya, an over-garment covering the body from shoulders to feet that some Muslim women wear, was banned in schools by the French government last month.
The government says the abaya constitutes a display of religious affiliation, banned at schools under a 2004 law.

Worrying:
A lot of soul searching requires by both Islamic and Liberal communities.
The aggressive (but non-violent) acts of expression directed at Islamic institutions (in the form of book burning) is the same that was once experienced by Christian institutions. This expression towards Christianity only quelled when it’s institutions started to admit its wrongdoings and negligence.
So long as followers of the ‘Religion of Peace’ tolerates violence directed at people who struggle to find reason to follow or respect Islam, then we will only see further escalation.
