Recently added quite a few finger-sized gadgets!
- Kingston DataTraveler Exodia 64GB
- Orico USB-C female to USB-A male
- PortaPow Data Blocker Pure - Prevents juice jacking
- Sandisk Ultra Luxe 64GB
- Kingston Ironkey Locker+ 50 32GB

So apparently, according to Yubico's CS, they accidentally placed a "normal", no-barcode Security Key into an "Enterprise Edition" packaging and told me not worry about it. They advised me to reset the key with ykman if I was still worried.

They're here! Not sure why I got the Enterprise Edition though... Seems the only difference is a bar code on the backside compared to having nothing on the normal version.

For those that use ( etc) do you have a at home or offsite? Do you just carry key(s) with you? I'm curious!

This is a multiple choice poll, pick the option(s) that apply to you!

Boost for reach? Thanks! 😊

(I have a key I carry with me, as well as a backup in a secure place at home, and a key at a trusted friends place as an offsite backup. Yes, adding new keys can be frustrating with managing the offsite ones back and forth...)

I recently started to use hardware security keys with my Apple ID. Got a bunch of security keys which work on macOS, and some also with iOS.

All seems quite well so far. One thing that doesn’t work - the otherwise great Xcodes app by @mattkiazyk. I don’t blame the app. I wish Apple offered clean support to log in for such apps, I don’t think it’s possible right now.

I wish wasn’t gatekept by having to purchase at least 2 (expensive) , the cheapest keys I can find in my neck of the wood, are Yubikeys, which start at 50 euro. That’s 100 smackaroos just to keep your safe.

This is great - Google providing 100,000 free security keys through 2023 to high-risk users. (Though I am still disappointed that - after all of the joint early work Google did with Yubico - they went with Feitian instead of Yubico to provide the raw hardware for the current Titan Security Key series.)

Hmm, allows all the other sites I use with, wonder what’s going on here. Keys are definitely supported. (Yes, did work, but this is perplexing.)

Looks like Apple has done it well with on Apple IDs. It asks you to have at least two of those, but you can add more.

I’m really curious on what happens if I lose one of the keys or they break.

It looks like Yubico is dropping the blue casing from their Security Key series and I am devastated. It was a fun color that made it easier to discern them from the "more professional" YubiKey 5's, but alas 😢

Time to pick up some more stickers I suppose yubico.com/product/yubistyle-c

Works now on iOS 16.3 I had to try several times and blocked my Yubikey, so the fun part was having to reset FIDO on my Key and logging into ALL my accounts, to re-enlist it - including my SSH-Certificates 🤯. Apple asks to enter the PIN for your Key - don't fall for it, as it could also be an alpha-numeric Password 🤦 Good Luck!

I recently invested in some for personal use and am really enjoying them and the added security they bring. I've set them up with this as well. For those interested in or who, like me, hadn't heard of until recently, I thought this article gave a good introduction into their utility: csoonline.com/article/3684275/

Here's to a future! Or at least more of one. Now I need to learn more about , and . Would love to see more adoption across sites and apps.
