She was a #nuclearPhysicist turned #activist, originally tasked with investigating #UnionCarbide's #BhopalDistaster in the 1980s before forming a #SeedFreedom movement against #BigAg and #Monsanto that exploded globally (and proved itself in many ways).

One example (and huge mistake) was the GM #sweetPotatoes they did to #Africa. They developed #sweetPotato that looks the same but grew in #nutrientDepleted #soil. Rather than #feedingTheWorld the likes of #Monsanto created an epidemic of #blindness – the #vitaminA was missing. #keepFoodOpenAndHonest

The one area that you might be able to keep an eye out for are the ways #BigAg strip nutrients from foods while they look the same.
