We had our third seed swap yesterday.

A cold and gray day, but 40 people came!

We saw old friends and met new people of all ages. We handed out lots of free seed, much of it locally grown / adapted.

Seed swaps are a great way to build community. You should organize one.

#SeedSwap needs to be a thing. Every gardening/plant enthusiast i know hoards seeds. We need to get people together where they can rummage through others hoards and swap tiny paper baggies of seeds.

I really only have bulk amounts of a round yellow heirloom watermelon and muscadines to offer currently.

20 December 2022 Seeds for the RFGN seed swap packaged and labelled.
The pea seeds had just passed their sow by date and had been germination tested. Labels now added with details of the test (86% germination). Achocha, tomatillo and tomato indigo cherry drop seeds have been donated to the seed swap by members of the Reading Food Growing Network.
