#SeeHowTheyRun: Not good, quite dull. Saoirse Ronan gives a solid comedic performance. (2/5)

#TheMenu: Great performances and interesting premise. Plot loses steam midway. (3/5)

#Barbarian: Genuinely scary. Interesting narrative structure. Ending was a bit silly though. (4/5)

Yesterday we finally watched #Amsterdam too. It was better than we expected. Quirky and fun, even if the matter was serious. I think I would stick #SeeHowTheyRun in 1st place, and the other two I'm not sure. #GlassOnion was let down by a poor final act.

See How They Run: Mediocre. It was trying too hard to be a Knives Out film. Maybe I would have enjoyed it better had I ever seen The Mousetrap. I burnt myself out on mysteries in my teen years, so it has to be really good for me to enjoy it (I did not like the first Knives Out but loved Glass Onion). It did have some laughs. #movies #seehowtheyrun

#SeeHowTheyRun is the second quirky British film we have seen that scores relatively weakly on #IMDB but is thoroughly enjoyable. Witty humour and especially good likeable characters are elements that are all but forgotten in most films, without which big plots and computer effects feel empty. Stories are about the people. But seemingly people don’t want that?

I enjoyed See How They Run as much as I didn't enjoy Glass Onion. But that's probably because I've been reading a lot of 'golden age' detective fiction lately and recently watched the Lucy Worsley series on Agatha Christie's life. And I enjoy spotting familiar filming locations and in-jokes / name references.

#KnivesOutGlassOnion przyjemny i rozrywkowy. Świetne kostiumy, fajny katalog przerysowanych postaci. Podobnie jak część pierwsza, stara się bawić formułą kryminału. Ogólnie fun rzecz ale w tym roku takie zabawy tym gatunkiem IMO wyszły o wiele lepiej w #SeeHowTheyRun
